Valencia CF legends remember Roberto Gil
Valencia CF paid tribute to Roberto Gil back in June with the exhibition 'El nostres ídols: Roberto Gil.' At the opening of the exhibition at the Castell de Riba-roja in Túria, several of his fellow Valencia CF legends attended and had words of praise for him.
RICARDO ARIAS
“Roberto Gil has been a very important person within Valencia CF. He arrived at a tremendously difficult time for the club, he worked hard and was always available for Valencia CF. He is a person who has shown us how to respect the club. What sticks with us is those values of Valencianismo, above all else. He is an example to look up to."
MIGUEL TENDILLO
“Roberto Gil is a very endearing person. I have fond memories of him because of how close he was with the players."
PEP CLARAMUNT
"He was a very disciplined player on the pitch and was very tactically intelligent. He was very disciplined, had a lot of character and stimulated his teammates a lot. The character he had was transmitted to his teammates. He had great authority on the pitch and was an essential piece of the plan for coaches."
